Beetle Legs

Scarab beetles are said to represent the cycle of life and rebirth, a perfect metaphor for the process of upcycling. By taking old clothes and transforming them with beads, a new life is given to these old outfits in order to avoid to dreaded fate of the landfill. 

Being trendy has a price, often leading to fabric waste and fast fashion that dominates landfills and adds to the Greenhouse Gas effect. However, style is different than simply following trends. By finding and embracing a personal style through upcycling, we can express our own individuality and practice sustainable fashion practices.
