CITY RABBIT

I’ve moved to a city in order to push myself out of my country girl comfort zone, to grow as an individual and learn what I actually want in life. The transition has been difficult, but an aspect that has grounded me to my life goals are the rabbits that live on my street and eat the gardens of my old lady neighbors.

Though skiddish and scared, their presence offers a semblance of protection against the cement monster of city life. They are a reminder that nature lies everywhere, even Chicago, but we have to open ourselves to see it.

As a current city rabbit, I question my actions in the moment, but deep down I know my path. The question will always remain, but I must trust my instincts that in response.
