MOSSY

A meditation on a small swatch of moss on an oak tree, this piece utilizes the time it takes for oil paint to dry in order to contemplate a living creature that also acts as a complex ecosysten. 

Both encapsulating the moment of watching the moss and the days it took to add the oil paint layers, “Mossy” explores the ephemeral naure of nature and our relationship with it.
